What can I do with ripe apples?
1. ½ cup of flour. 2. ½ cup of oats. 3. ½ cup of brown sugar. 4. ½ teaspoon of baking powder. 5. ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder. 6. Pinch of salt. 7. ⅓ cup of butter. For The Filling: 1. 4-5 large apples. 2. tablespoons of melted butter. 3. 2 tablespoons of flour. 4. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. 5. 3 tablespoons of milk. 6. ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. 7. ¼ cup of brown sugar. 8. ½ cup of cinnamon powder. 9. Pinch of salt.
Preheat oven to 180°c.
Chop off the top of the apples and use a spoon to scoop out the flesh into a large bowl.
To make the crumble topping, mix the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, oats and butter in a medium bowl till they are well combined.
To make the filling, whisk together the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, milk, lemon juice and melted butter in a small bowl.
Add the filling mixture to the apple flesh and mix well until all the flesh is coated.
Stuff the hollow apples with the apple flesh mixture and top with crumble.
Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Serve with ice cream and honey.
